INDIANAPOLIS - Police are searching for an Indianapolis pastor accused of molesting a boy over several years, beginning when he was 12 years old.
Otis B. Jetter, the pastor at Pilgrim Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at 2301 Dr. Andrew J. Brown Ave., is wanted on three counts of child molesting.
The accuser, who is now 29 years old, came forward last month, telling police that Jetter began molesting him when he was 12 years old.
The man said Jetter would often pick him up for church or take him home afterward.
In November 1994, Jetter picked up the boy and then parked near the Indianapolis airport, forcing the boy to perform a sex act on him, according to the probable cause affidavit.
When the boy was 13, Jetter gave him a ride home from church, but stopped on a side street and forced him to have intercourse, according to the affidavit.
Afterward, the pastor gave the boy $25 and told him never to tell anyone, the man told police.
The last incident happened when the boy was 14, according to the affidavit.
Jetter picked him up from church, checked into an Indianapolis hotel and they had sex, the man told police.
He said he decided to come forward after he saw Jetter bringing a young boy to church recently.
The accuser's father told RTV6 he is glad his son told someone about the alleged abuse.
"I'm proud of him for that he helped other little kids, and I hope there's more that come forward and save and help themselves," he said.
When Jetter was interviewed by police, he denied the allegations. Police had not been able to locate him as of Monday night.
