Indianapolis police accuse man in early January stabbing death

INDIANAPOLIS - Police said a 24-year-old man is facing a murder charge in a Jan. 2 stabbing death on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said Monday that Harley Sims, 24, had been arrested and charged with murder by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.

Hurley is accused of stabbing Kristopher Griner, 31, in early January at a hotel near the Indianapolis International Airport.

Detectives said they believed the stabbing happened in the parking lot of the hotel.

Sims is being held in the Marion County Jail on a charge of murder. His next court appearance is March 6.
