Indianapolis police investigate fatal shooting of man on city's northeast side Saturday night

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead on the city's northeast side.
Officers were called to the 4400 block of North Sheridan Avenue just after 11 p.m. Saturday on reports of several gunshots heard in the area.
They found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his lower body.
He was taken to Indiana University Health's Methodist Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim's name was not released Sunday morning.
