INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department squad car was involved in a crash with a semi on the south-side interstate early Monday morning.
The crash was reported at roughly 3:45 a.m. on westbound Interstate 465 between exit 2 (East Street exit) and I-65.
Few details were immediately available. RTV6 saw a semi had crashed into the rear of the IMPD car.
Traffic reporter Lauren Casey says the officer involved in the crash was injured and taken to the hospital, though details of his injuries were not available. We're told his injuries are not serious, however.
There is no word yet on the condition of the driver of the semi.
The left two lanes of westbound I-465 were blocked as of 4:15 a.m.
