Indianapolis Public Schools locked down during police chase

INDIANAPOLIS - Four Indianapolis Public Schools were locked down Thursday morning as police pursued a suspect on the city's northwest side.

Northwest High School, Gambold Preparatory Magnet High, Jonathan Jennings elementary and Mary E. Nicholson school were locked down just after 10:30 a.m.

The lockdowns were lifted just before noon.

Indianapolis police were pursuing a suspect on foot in the area, school officials said.

Few other details were immediately released.
