INDIANAPOLIS - An orphaned baby walrus rescued from the coast of Alaska will soon find a new home at the Indianapolis Zoo.
The SeaLife Center staff has named the curious walrus calf Pakak, an Alaskan translation of "one who gets into everything."
At the time of his rescue, Pakak was dehydrated and suffering from lice, officials said.
The Indianapolis Zoo will provide a safe and healthy living environment for Pakak and he will go into a mandatory 30-day quarantine once he arrives.
