INDIANAPOLIS – A woman's body was found on Indianapolis’ southwest side Wednesday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the body was found in Decatur Township around 10 p.m. in the 5600 block of Dollar Forge Road.
Detectives ruled the case a homicide and will continue investigating, IMPD said.
The Marion County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as JoAnn Highwood, 52.
No cause of death has been released but homicide detectives say the woman's body had obvious signs of trauma.
