INDIANAPOLIS -- Students in the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township have banded together to provide hundreds of meals for needy families.
The meals were available for pick up Monday at Ben Davis High School.
Senior class officers sponsored the project, and last year the effort provided more than 300 meals to families in need.
Every school in Wayne Township collects food and financial donations, which are then sent to Ben Davis High School.
A staff member coordinated students to organize the food into meals for hundreds of families.
