INDIANAPOLIS -- With the Monumental Marathon just around the corner, IndyGo is telling riders to be ready for major service disruptions.
IndyGo says they expect significant route detours, street closures, stop closures and delays throughout the city during the marathon on Saturday, November 4.
According to IndyGo, street closures are expected to begin as early as 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning and last through 4:30 p.m.
Google Maps and other online trip planners will not reflect service changes, according to IndyGo.
During the marathon, IndyGo says all stops in the downtown loop will be closed. They do expect buses to be extremely delayed throughout the day.
They recommend riders choose an earlier scheduled bus trip or make alternative travel arrangements to ensure they arrive to their destinations on time.
The public transit servics also suggests making transfers to different routes at the city's downtown Transit Center during the marathon.
The streets closures around the city will also impact on-time performance for IndyGo Open Door ADA Paratransit service, according to IndyGo.

All westbound stops from Michigan & Oriental Streets to Michigan & West Streets.
All eastbound stops from New York & West Streets to New York Street & Park Avenue.
Route 4
All stops south of 38th Street & Keystone Avenue to the Transit Center.
Route 5
All stops from 25th Street & Keystone Avenue to the Transit Center.
Route 6
From the Transit Center to Indiana Avenue & West Street, as well as from Harding Street & 23rd Street to 36th & Totem Streets.
Route 8
All stops from Washington & Pine Streets to the Transit Center, as well as Washington & West Streets to Transit Center.
Route 10
All stops from 10th & Oriental Streets to Michigan & West Streets.
