INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis has received accolades in recent years for its diverse and affordable food scene, but a new Wallet Hub ranking wasn’t so kind to the Circle City.

Wallet Hub released its 2018 Best Foodie Cities in America list this week, and Indianapolis ranks all the way down as the 53rd best place in the country for foodies.

Wallet Hub’s ranking was based on the affordability, diversity and accessibility of restaurants and the quality of food served.

Fort Wayne ranked even worse, coming in at 129 on the list.

According to Wallet Hub’s report, these are the top five Foodie Cities in the United States:

  1. Portland, Oregon
  2. San Francisco, California
  3. Miami, Florida
  4. New York City, New York
  5. Los Angels, California
