INDIANAPOLIS -- IU Health says a nurse tied to a series of troubling social media posts is no longer employed with their hospitals.

The statements, posted on Twitter Friday evening by a suspected IU Health nurse said “Every white woman raises a detriment to society when they raise a son.” They go on to say that sons of "white women" should be “sacrificed to wolves.”

IU Health said Saturday that the recently hired nurse was never employed at Riley Children's Hospital and was removed from patient care while they investigated the posts.

IU Health released the following statement Saturday:

“IU Health is aware of several troubling posts on social media which appear to be from a recently hired IU Health employee. Our HR department continues to investigate the situation and the authenticity of the posts. During the investigation, that employee (who does not work at Riley Hospital for Children) will have no access to patient care.”

Since the post when viral, the Twitter account connected to it has been removed.

IU Health released a follow-up statement on Sunday saying that the nurse in question no longer works for IU Health.
