INDIANAPOLIS – A man was killed in a crash on the city’s south side Monday evening.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police said the accident happened in the 5200 block of S. East Street just before 5 p.m.
Once on scene, police found the vehicle flipped over and the male driver unresponsive.
Witnesses told police it looked as if the driver was speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, when the vehicle left the road, hit a tree, and flipped over, crashing near a building just off the road.
Officers did not release the name of the victim.
