INDIANAPOLIS -- Strong storms that swept across central Indiana Saturday morning and afternoon left thousands without power and significant damage in their wake.

Frankfort Power and Light could not give an exact number of outages in the area but said they had "thousands" of outages affecting customers in Clinton County at the peak of the storms. Most of those customers had their power restored by Saturday evening.
