Three Indianapolis firefighters injured after floor collapses

INDIANAPOLIS – Three Indianapolis firefighters were injured Tuesday night during a house fire on the city’s west side.

Indianapolis Fire Department Public Information Officer said the fire happened near Michigan and Katcham streets around 10:15 p.m.

The three firefighters were injured after the second story floor collapsed, causing the group to fall 10 feet to the first floor of the home.

 All three firefighters were taken to the hospital with back, elbow and foot pain.

Damage to the home was estimated at $60,000.
