If you live around Shelbyville, you'll definitely want to pay attention to this traffic alert that will impact your commute and getting around town for over a month, while nearly 4 miles of pavement on State Road 44 are being resurfaced and repaired.
A thin 3/4th of an inch asphalt overlay will be paved on State Road 44 on Miller Avenue and Colescott Street between Grandview Drive and South Harrison Street, as well as on East Broadway Street between South Noble Street and I-74.
State Road 44 will remain open, however, drivers should expect temporary lane closures for this resurfacing, as the project is underway.
This is all part of an $842,000 project to repair and resurface State Road 44.
And again, this all kicks off tomorrow, with the hope to be complete by November.
As always, I'll be keeping you in the loop on all of your latest traffic alerts to help you get around town!
