PLAINFIELD, Ind. -- Hundreds of kids and their parents filled the parking lot at the Perry Crossing in Plainfield for the 15th consecutive year for the annual ZPL Pumpkin Drop on the Smiley Radio Show.

This year's pumpkin, weighing in at over 1,400 pounds, was the biggest ever to be dropped at the event.

The pumpkin was dropped from a crane from about 140 feet in the air.

The best part for the kids? They got to rush the exploded pumpkins for a souvenir to take home - some even pushed huge pieces across the parking lot.
