INDOT appeals to Hoosiers to apply for seasonal employment

INDIANAPOLIS - The state department of transportation is looking to hire more than two dozen seasonal workers for the winter maintenance ahead.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) said it wants to bring on roughly 25 seasonal employees for cold-season maintenance operations in the Indianapolis Subdistrict.
INDOT said seasonal employees will be paid $15 per hour and will be scheduled to work 37 and ½ hours per week. Benefits are not offered for these positions, but overtime is.
Officials said employment is expected to begin in November and last through April, with applications being accepted until Nov. 7.
Applicants must have:
- A valid commercial driver’s license
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- The ability to successfully pass a drug test
