Three relatives are accused of trying to pass off fake currency across Central Indiana.

Suzanne Allen, her husband Simon Allen and her son Diego Diaz are accused of using counterfeit bills at businesses in Central Indiana.

Police said they made the money in Indianapolis. They were eventually caught in Bloomington.

"They got pretty brazen about it and thought, 'We'll go hit a whole bunch of places and no one is going to catch us,'" said McDonald's franchisee Gerry Stieglitz, whose business was cheated by the trio.

Police eventually caught the trio in their vehicle in Bloomington. Inside they allegedly found sheets of uncut counterfeit bills.

All three are now charged with felonies in connection with the case.
