Indy man arrested in connection with Ill. homicide

Alexander, 30, held without bond

INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis police arrested a man wanted in connection with an Illinois homicide, officials said.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested 30-year-old Dejuan Alexander, of Indianapolis, on Tuesday afternoon.

Alexander was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Shadeland Avenue, police said.

IMPD officials said Alexander is wanted in connection with a homicide out of Danville, Illinois.

Alexander was being held without bond and was awaiting extradition proceedings.
