Indy veterans bike to Washington D.C. for freedom ride

INDIANAPOLIS – Hundreds of veterans prepared for motorcycle rides from Indianapolis to Washington D.C. Thursday to support the families of missing soldiers.

The Rolling Thunder Indiana Chapter met at the Indianapolis International Airport for their 30th annual Ride for Freedom to bring attention to more than 82,000 troops missing in action.

Linda Cope said her brother never came back home.

“You're walking the streets of the greatest country in the world thanks to these people and these men and women who have given their life, given their all have given everything for us to be that way,” said Cope. “I want everybody to understand what we, what my family, what we lost. I couldn't be prouder of him. All the metals that he received but I would give them all back to have one day with him, one more day."
