INDIANAPOLIS - The first Indianapolis baby of 2014 was born just after midnight Wednesday morning at Franciscan St. Francis Health.
Julius Wade was born at 12:02 a.m. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 inches long, officials said.
He is the son of Tecey Smith and John Popplewell of Indianapolis.
Families of the first New Year’s Day baby born at Franciscan St. Francis Health receive a gift basket from the hospital and Babies "R" Us.
