OWEN COUNTY, Ind. -- An Indianapolis woman is charged with murder after police say she shot and killed a man at a home at a Halloween party over the weekend.
According to Indiana State Police, Tammy Stuard, 52, shot and killed Bradley Jones, 53, at his home on Lampher Farm Road early Saturday morning.
Detectives say evidence gathered at the scene suggests that a verbal argument took place before the shooting.
Police said Stuard told them she shot Jones with her own handgun because she believed he was going to attempt to hurt others in the home.
Stuard was formally charged with Murder on Monday.
The shooting remains under investigation by Indiana State Police.
