Indy's Babyface to perform at Black Expo Summer Celebration concert

INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Black Expo released its lineup of performers for the 44th Annual Summer Celebration and it’s sure to be a star-studded event with plenty of Indy flare.

The concerts will take place over the weekend of July 18 through July 20.

Indianapolis’ own Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds will perform at the Heritage Music Festival II at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on July 19. Anthony Hamilton and Chrisette Michele will also perform at the event. All three performers are Grammy Award-winning R&B solo recording artists. Tickets go on sale March 17 .

The free outdoor Music Heritage Festival I concert will be headlined by R&B icon Keith Sweat, the Indy-launched singing group After 7 and the SOS Band on July 18 at the American Legion Mall.

Edmonds has won 10 Grammy Awards and has written dozens of hit songs such as "End of the Road" by Boyz II Men. He has produced hits for Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin and Mary J. Blige.
