#INDYTODAY | Events for your Friday (Sept. 5) and weekend in the Circle City

INDIANAPOLIS - A festival, fantastic food, fun, and much more! There are tons of things to do this Friday and weekend in Indianapolis with #INDYTODAY.

Every day, we'll keep you in the loop on happenings in Indy. This Friday and weekend, there are a quite few items on the to-do list that might tickle your fancy.

Food Truck Friday

Get some fresh spring air on your lunch break and head out to Georgia Street for the weekly tradition. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. head to the west block of Georgia Street to pick from more than 15 food trucks. Barbecue, pizza, cupcakes, Mexican food and more.

The food trucks are so good, Food Network show "Eat Street" visited Indianapolis to get the scoop on the amazing tastes offered.

Looking for a particular truck, or don't know where the heck the west block of Georgia Street is? No worries! Here's an awesome food truck locator.

Farm To Fork Market

Looking for some chemical-free food? Head out to the Farm to Fork Market at Normandy Farms between 4 and 7 p.m. Friday. It's open every week, rain or shine, and is located on the city's northwest side.

Georgia Street Happy Hour

Relax outdoors over a cocktail or beer and enjoy appetizers as live jazz fills the air. It all happens from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Boardwalk on Georgia Street.

Indianapolis Day of Unity Rally (and mobile roll calls)

The Day of Unity rally is the kickoff to a month of events where the public and Indianapolis police (IMPD) officers can take time to get to know one another better and build better relations. The main rally is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Spoke of Monument Circle downtown.

You can also head out to one of the many "mobile roll calls" across the city to connect with officers in your neighborhood. Find those times and locations here.

Lots of fun for the kids this weekend

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is always chock-full of fun activities for the kids. And a lot of them are educational, too.
