#INDYTODAY | Events for Thursday, May 8 in the Circle City

INDIANAPOLIS - Food trucks, farmers markets, workouts and coffee with your cops. Here's the scoop on some events this Thursday in Indianapolis with #INDYTODAY.

Every day, we'll keep you in the loop on happenings in Indy. Today, there are a few items on the to-do list that might tickle your fancy.

IMPD Hanging Baskets

The Southwest District of IMPD is having its annual Mother's Day flower sale at 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 551 N. King Ave. All proceeds benefit IMPD Southwest District's Community Day.

Civil War Sesquicentennial Exhibit

"The Hardship & Hope: The Life of the Hoosier Soldier During the Civil War" exhibition gives a more personal understanding of the everyday realities on the battlefield. An opening reception happens from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Indiana State Library.

Neighborhood Walking Tours

Each Thursday in May, take a walking tour of a historic Indianapolis neighborhood to learn the history of each area. Cottage Home is Thursday's featured neighborhood. It starts at 6 p.m. and costs $10 ($5 for Indiana Landmark members).
