NEW CASTLE, Ind. - Police were searching Monday for an inmate who escaped through a hole in the roof of the Henry County Jail.
David Allen Kline III, 29, was noticed missing from his cell just before 6 a.m., authorities said.
He's believed to have escaped through a hole in the roof of the jail that was found inside another cell within the same block.
Kline was most recently arrested Oct. 2 after he failed to show up for a court hearing, police said.
He's set to stand trial Jan. 28 on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and intimidation after he pointed a handgun at an employee in his New Castle tattoo shop, police said.
Kline is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 100 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses.
Anyone with information about Kline’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 765-529-4901.
