INDIANAPOLIS -- The alleged leader of an international child pornography ring was sentenced Tuesday in a U.S. District Court in southern Indiana to 85 years in prison.

Domminich Shaw, 35, a citizen of the U.K., pleaded guilty in October 2015 to 26 counts, including conspiracy to advertise child pornography and conspiracy to receive and distribute child pornography.

Federal prosecutors pinned Shaw as the leader of an international child pornography ring that produced and distributed sexually explicit images of babies and toddlers online.

Prosecutors in 2012 described the operation as a "dangerous and depraved group of criminals" who were devoted to trading sexually explicit images of children younger than 5 years old.

On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge William T. Lawrence sentenced Shaw to 85 years in prison. Because it is a federal sentence, Shaw will have to serve at least 75 percent of that time.

“It does not matter where you are in the world, if you exploit a child in this district, the United States Attorney’s Office will find you, identify you, arrest you and prosecute you.  Defendant Shaw will have 85 years for that message to sink in” said U.S. Attorney Josh Minkler.

Shaw is the latest suspect sentenced in the case. Nine others have already received prison time ranging from 60 months to life in prison:

  • David Ryan Bostic, Life
  • Javahn Algere, 144 months
  • Jeremy Labrec, 330 months
  • Richard Szulborski, 180 months
  • Christopher Reid, 420 months
  • Justin Manz, 60 months
  • Nicholas King, 96 months

The arrests were part of "Operation Bulldog" and Project Safe Child.
