INDIANAPOLIS - An Indianapolis Power and Light truck crashed into a fruit and vegetable market late Tuesday night.

The IPL truck destroyed Johnny's Market at 6335 College Ave., after witnesses said the driver appeared to black out.

John Deuser, the owner of Johnny's Market, said his business had been hit before.

"I don't know what will become of it. It's amazing. This is the second time (this has happened).  June 15 was the first time and this time it's on my 30th wedding anniversary," Deuser said.

Resident John Patrick said the crash sounded like an explosion.

"Everything shook. The entire bathroom, the entire living room, everything shook. We thought something had exploded," Patrick said.

Tim Kiley lives near the market and said he couldn't believe what had happened.

"I didn't even know that there was a truck inside there when I first walked over there. I figured the guy might have been seriously injured," Kiley said.

One person was taken away from the scene on a stretcher. No information about injuries has been released.

Officials are investigating and cleaning up the accident scene.
