ANDERSON, Ind. - An Anderson man was taken into custody on several charges including DUI and resisting arrest after leading police on a chase early Thursday.
Just before 3:30 a.m. a police officer spotted a man driving a pickup truck not wearing a seatbelt near 29th Street and Central Avenue.
When the officer alerted the driver to pull over, the driver disobeyed and sped off, police said.
The man drove through a parking lot of a nearby fast food restaurant before he jumped out and ran, police said.
Police caught up with the suspect, identified at Jomokali Bailey, 37, a short time later, and he was taken to the Madison County Jail.
Bailey was arrested on several charges including resisting law enforcement, a felony fleeing charge and operating while intoxicated.
