MONROE COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana State Police are trying to find a man who is impersonating an officer in Monroe County.

Police said the man, who identified himself as an Indiana State Police trooper, was driving a black Ford Mustang with a thin blue line painted on the front license plate when he pulled over a person Tuesday morning near Arlington Road at State Road 46.

The vehicle was equipped with red and blue grill lights.

The man was said to have a dark completion and was about 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build. Police said he was wearing a black polo shirt with a plastic pin-on gold badge.

Once the victim said they would call ISP to verify the man's identity, the impersonator left the scene.
