FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ind. -
Human skeletal remains were found near Big Cedar Creek in Franklin County, Indiana State Police said.
The remains were discovered about 11 a.m. Sunday by individuals walking along the edge of the creek near Cedar Grove.
The remains were collected by the Franklin County Coroner’s Office and transported to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office in Ohio Monday for DNA and other forensic testing.
Investigators said the sex or age of the body would be revealed once the identification process, which could take several weeks, is complete.
Big Cedar Creek is in southeastern Indiana about 38 miles west of Cincinnati.
