GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. - A woman was arrested early Tuesday after Indiana State Police accused her of DUI and resisting arrest.
Just before 1:30 a.m., police in Princeton stopped an Oldsmobile on South Main and Clark streets for expired tags. When police pulled the car over, they said the driver had dilated pupils and appeared to be confused.
The driver, Leeanne Hartle, 28, of Princeton, was suspected of driving under the influence of a drug other than alcohol. Police said Hartle resisted arrest and tried to run away.
After a brief struggle, police said she was taken into custody at the Gibson County Jail.
Princeton is in southwestern Indiana, about 30 miles north of Evansville.
