INDIANAPOLIS – An IUPUI employee was robbed and carjacked on campus by two men Saturday evening.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Blackford and North Street in the Blackford Street Garage.

Police say one of the men was armed.

Officers are looking for a four-door maroon 2001 Buick Century.

“IUPUI is an urban campus, and unfortunately these types of incidences may occur down here. We encourage students and staff to utilize our Safe Walk program,” said officer April Mantel with IUPUI police.

IUPUI’s Safe Walk Program provides an alternative to walking alone at night around campus. Extra police employees on duty can escort students and staff anywhere on campus. This is offered 24/7.
