FRANKLIN, Ind., -- It's an opportunity of a lifetime to watch a feature film with the stars who created it and then ask them questions about it at the Historic Artcraft Theater in downtown Franklin.

The theater will be hosting a one-time showing of the Bloomington, Indiana filmed feature "The Good Catholic" on Wednesday, September 27th at 7:30 p.m.

The movie centers around an idealistic, young priest dedicated to his calling until he meets a woman at confession. After the meeting, he seeks guidance from his fellow priests.

The set director for the film just happens to be Franklin College professor Gordon R. Strain. Strain took a brief absence from the college to focus on this film back in 2015. The executive producer for the film just so happens to be David Anspaugh - the man who directed other popular local films such as "Rudy" and "Hoosiers".  Strain's responsibilities for this film included building sets, dressing film locations and prepared food used in scenes.

Strain also invited some Franklin College students to help work on the film during their winter term.

After the showing at the Historic Artcraft Theatre on Wednesday, there will be a question and answer session with the film's leading actor, writer and director, and also Strain.

The Q&A is open to all who attend the showing.  Tickets are 5 dollars for adults, 4 dollars for those 55 and older, military and college students, and 3 dollars for kids 12 and under.

This film is rated PG-13.
