FISHERS, Ind. - A Plainfield man has been arrested in a brazen daytime burglary in Fishers that prompted a lockdown at a nearby elementary school.

On Tuesday morning, a woman returned to her home in the Covington Estates Neighborhood near 96th Street and Lantern Road and heard noises coming from upstairs.

She left the home and called 911, and police set up a perimeter around the area, searching nearby neighborhoods, businesses and an apartment complex.

Lantern Road Elementary School was placed on lockdown during the search.

Police eventually found a man walking in the woods along 106th Street, and two other individuals were detained at the Wellington Place Apartment Complex.

The man found walking, who was later identified as Jordan Ellis, 24, of Plainfield, was arrested on preliminary charges of burglary and theft.

The other two individuals weren't arrested.

Ellis was being held at the Hamilton County Jail.
