Judge sentences cop impersonator

Nicholas Houston, 31, given 50-year sentence

INDIANAPOLIS - A Marion County judge has sentenced a police impersonator who forced a teenager to have sex with him.

On Tuesday, 31-year-old Nicholas Houston was sentenced to 50 years in prison for several crimes, including criminal deviate conduct and battery.

Earlier, a jury found him guilty of using a police badge to trick a 16-year-old girl and driving her to his northwest side apartment last August.

There, the victim says Houston slapped her and threatened to shoot her or take her to jail unless she submitted.

Houston had even convinced many of his neighbors that he had a law enforcement connection.
