Knightstown High School on exterior lockdown Thursday

KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. - Knightstown High School will operate on an exterior lockdown Thursday morning after an unknown incident occurred at the school Wednesday.

Principal Scott Ritchie tweeted Wednesday evening that all students should be at school no earlier than 7:50 a.m. and should only use the south main and west bus entrances.

Ritchie said the lockdown was a precaution and school officials wanted to play it safe.

Few other details were released.
