INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indiana University law professor says it is clear Park Tudor made some serious mistakes in reporting information to police about the inappropriate relationship former basketball coach Kyle Cox had with a student.

According to documents filed in federal court, the school did not initially report all of the information they recovered from the teen student's laptop, including sexually explicit photos or video to police.

"Certainly there is an ethical and moral duty to assist police in any way they can and it looks like they waited a couple of weeks before they actually responded and at that point they responded to a search warrant," Jennifer Drobac said.

Drobac said Park Tudor's lawyers can't hold back information from police due to attorney-client privilege, as police say they did, because that information was evidence of a crime.

Drobac also said she does not know if the school obstructed justice or committed a crime.
