INDIANAPOLIS - The superintendent of Lawrence Township schools announced Tuesday that she will leave her post at the end of the school year.
Concetta Raimondi announced in a letter to faculty and staff that she will retire from the position at the end of the year.
She will join the College of Education at Indiana University in Bloomington as an assistant professor.
Raimondi was hired by Lawrence Township schools in 2009.
Prior to working for Lawrence Township, Raimondi was the superintendent of Hamilton Southeastern schools.
The HSE board said Raimondi's dismissal was a mutual decision based on a need for change in direction, but some said that her management style conflicted with the board. She held that position for nearly seven years.
