NEW WAVERLY, Ind. - Police said a medical episode might have caused a crash that killed a Logansport, Ind., woman.
Mara Petty, 61, was southbound on Cass County Road 950 East in New Waverly Wednesday morning when she drove her Pontiac into a ditch, Indiana State Police said.
Officials said Petty was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating the crash, but they said they don't believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
