Luminary ceremony held at Richmond Hill

Ceremony commemorates 1-year anniversary of blast

INDIANAPOLIS - One year after the tragic explosion at a south side neighborhood which claimed the lives of two residents, the Indianapolis community has rallied around Richmond Hill survivors for a luminary ceremony.

More than 1,200 candles were set up for the event, which saw attendees including Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard along with representatives from the family of Dion and Jennifer Longworth, the young couple killed in the blast.

RTV6's Rafael Sanchez, who has been following the story since that tragic night, was at the ceremony to help commemorate the night which forever changed a community's lives.
