ANDERSON, Ind. -- Madison County investigators were called to a fatal fire Tuesday night on State Road 236.
The fire happened around 9 p.m. on the 4300 block of East State Road 236 between Anderson and Middletown.
Madison County detectives were on scene looking into the fire, which they said left one person dead.
The victim was identified as Michael Dwayne Caine, 67.
There were no initial indications of suspicious origins to the fire, but officials said it was still early in the investigation.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
