CHESTERFIELD, Ind. – A woman died and a man was critically injured following a double shooting in Chesterfield Monday night.
Madison County Sheriff Scott Mellinger said 20-year-old Jalynn Harman of Muncie was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Hospital after the shooting happened near Pass and Mulberry streets around 7 p.m.
The male shooting victim was listed in critical condition.
A person of interest was interviewed by police, and they believe the incident was the result of an attempted robbery.
