94-year-old man found in Madison Co. lake was known to leave assisted living center to go on walks

ANDERSON, Ind. -- The body of a 94-year-old man was found in a lake in a Madison County Wednesday afternoon.

According to Anderson police, the man's body was found by a fisherman on the north side of Shadyside Lake just before 1 p.m.

The man was identified as 94-year-old Richard D. Hunt. 

The lake is located near a popular walking trail in the area, according to police. Hunt was a resident of Harker House and was known to go on walks or take the bus into town by himself. 

Police do not suspect foul play at this time. 

The death remains under investigation by the Anderson Police Department.
