DUBOIS COUNTY, Ind. - A man was arrested in southwestern Indiana after state police accused him of child abuse involving a 9-month-old boy.
On July 30, police received a tip about possible battery involving an infant after medical staff at Memorial Hospital reported the child had bleeding and swelling to his private area.
Through investigation, police named Arvel R. Griffey Jr., 24, of Loogootee, a suspect.
Griffey was arrested and taken to the Dubois County Jail where he was held without bond.
Loogootee is about an hour south of Bloomington.
