Man arrested after bodies found in Indianapolis home

One victim has been identified by police

INDIANAPOLIS - Two bodies were found over the weekend in a vacant house lot on Indianapolis' west side, resulting in the arrest of a man.

Indianapolis police said the bodies were found in the 1100 block of Miley Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

Police arrested Actora Bankhead, 37, on a murder charge shortly after the bodies were found.

Investigators believe the victims had been dead about a week.

One of the victims was identified Monday afternoon as 27-year-old Michael Hite of Indianapolis.

The second victim was identified Tuesday as 34-year-old Crystal Lucas of Indianapolis.

"The detectives and the coroner right now are trying to determine the time frame, exactly where those deaths occurred and identify the second female victim, we can only say it was a female, but at this point, we can't say who that person is," Officer Christopher Wilburn said.
