KNIGHTSTOWN, Ind. - Henry County authorities apprehended a man Friday who they say made threats online to shoot up a school.
Schools in Henry and Rush counties were placed on lockdown after police notified them they'd been alerted of a post on social media in which a user located in the Knightstown area wrote: "I'm gonna [sic] go put on some lip gloss and shoot up a school!"
A search by local and state law enforcement just after noon located the individual who's profile was GYPSY on the social media service.
The suspect was identified as Jackson Messer, 20, who had been temporarily residing in the Knightstown area.
Messer was transported to Henry County Jail and charged with intimidation, a Class "D" felony. Bond for Messer was set at $5,000.
