Man fatally shot early Saturday morning on city's south side

INDIANAPOLIS - A man was pronounced dead early Saturday morning after being found lying in the street, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, police confirmed to RTV6. It marks the 10th instance of gun violence in the city in the past several days.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said at roughly 12:30 a.m., crews headed to the 4300 block of Declaration Drive on a report of a man possibly shot.
When officers arrived, IMPD said they found an unresponsive male victim in the street. EMS crews pronounced the man dead on the scene.
Officials later identified the victim as Mark Kelley, 49, of Indianapolis.
Detectives have not released any suspect information at this point. The Marion-Indianapolis Forensic Services Agency is processing the crime scene and detectives are searching the area for potential witnesses, IMPD said.
