INDIANAPOLIS - A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in a robbery on Indianapolis' northeast side early Saturday, police said.

Officers were called to a home at 4107 Marseille Road, near 42nd Street and Post Road, just after 2:30 a.m. on a report of a suspicious person.

As police were en route, another call came in reporting a gun shot in the same area.

When officers arrived, they found the 27-year-old laying in front of the home, suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's name was not immediately released.

Police said two men were found sitting in a Cadillac nearby. They were taken into custody for questioning.
