2 dead in separate Indianapolis shootings

INDIANAPOLIS -- Two people were killed between Sunday night and Monday morning in two separate shootings.

The first shooting happened around 11 p.m. Sunday, in the 9000 block of Compton Street. 

Police responded to a shots fired call to find an unresponsive man in a parking lot. EMS personnel responded and pronounced him dead. 

The victim was later identified as Datreal Tubbs, 31.

The circumstances of the shooting weren't immediately known.

The second shooting happened on the 6200 block of Commodore Drive around 1:40 a.m.

The 32-year-old victim was found in critical condition in a yard near a house, but later died from his wounds at Eskenazi Health.

The victim has been identified as Edward Branch.
